HOSPITAL DOCTORS
Locum Doctors requires
hospital doctors of all grades and specialities for short
notice locum work and for longer periods.
In order for us to put you forward for locum work you will
need to register with us.
GENERAL
REQUIREMENTS
The Medical Staffing departments of hospitals will not even
look at a CV nor submit it to the relevant consultant without
the following minimum supporting documentation.
All of the above are double checked with phone calls.
Hospitals will expect you to show your original documents
when commencing a placement.
Depending on your speciality and the individual policies
of different hospitals, you may be required to supply other
documentation.
OVERSEAS DOCTORS
PAY RATES
TYPES OF POSTS
substantive
post -
You are employed and paid directly by the hospital. You
will usually need to commit to a minimum of six months employment.
They usually offer accommodation.
locum
posts -
you work through LOCUM DOCTORS ltd. Positions can be from
one off short notice shifts - two to four weeks sometimes
a couple of months but the hourly rate is higher.
permanent
positions
- we can also save you a lot of time and frustration if
you're looking for a permanent position.

The Immigration Rules have provision for people to be admitted
to the UK to undertake
certain types of employment without a work permit. For information

QUALIFIED DOCTOR
If you are a fully qualified doctor or dentist and wish
to take employment in
that field you will need a work permit. For further information

PRACTICE
If you intend to establish yourself in general practice
you will need to meet
the requirements for admission to the UK as a self-employed
